Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the WinBloom iOS application and WinBloom website (together, the "Service"), created by Ali Hassan Amin (the "Service Provider") as a free service.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years of age to use WinBloom. By using the Application, you represent that you are 16 or older. If you are under 16, do not access or use this Application.

Intellectual Property

Unauthorized copying or modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted beyond what is expressly permitted by applicable law. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the win entries and notes you create in WinBloom. The Service Provider does not claim ownership of your content. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service functionality you request. You are solely responsible for the content you enter.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly at support@winbloom.app if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Social Features and Visibility

WinBloom includes social features such as friend requests and friend-garden summaries. By using these features, you understand that accepted friends may view limited account-related summary information (such as your nickname/display name fallback, weekly win count, and streak summary). Private win titles and notes are not shared through friend-garden summaries.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use WinBloom to:

  • Post or store content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or abusive;
  • Impersonate any person or entity;
  • Attempt to access, modify, or delete another user's data;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Application beyond what is permitted by law;
  • Use the Application for any commercial purpose without our written consent.

Account Termination

The Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your rights to use the Application cease immediately and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may delete your own account at any time via Share tab → Settings → "Delete Account."

Third-Party Services

The Service uses Supabase (Supabase Inc.) as backend infrastructure. By using WinBloom, you also acknowledge Supabase's terms: https://supabase.com/terms.

WinBloom also supports Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google for authentication. Your use of those sign-in services is subject to Apple and Google's terms and privacy policies.

We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or third-party advertising services.

No Warranty

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE SERVICE PROVIDER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WinBloom is a self-help tool and is not intended to provide professional mental health, medical, or clinical advice.

Limitation of Liability

The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying on the Application. Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of connectivity.

If you use the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's agreement terms still apply, and you may incur data charges. By using the Application you accept responsibility for any such charges.

Service Availability

The Service Provider reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or any part of it at any time without notice. The Service Provider may also cease providing the Application entirely and may terminate its use without providing advance notice to you. Upon any termination: (a) the rights and licences granted to you under these Terms will end; (b) you must cease using the Application and, if necessary, delete it from your device.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of WinBloom that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of Ontario, Canada, at the Service Provider's election. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and not as part of any class action.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

The Service Provider may periodically update these Terms and Conditions. When updated, we will revise the effective date and publish the latest version in the app and on the website. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
